CAPTAINS REPORT
A fantastic turnout for my first event as Captain of the Kimpton Golf Society, with 32 players taking part, including nine guests—great to see such strong support.
We kicked things off with a full English breakfast, which, as always, went down a treat.
It was a freezing start and the rain threatened to make an appearance, but thankfully it mostly held off and the sun eventually broke through, making for generally good playing conditions.
The course was in excellent condition for the time of year, and while there was some impressive scoring, there were also a few rounds that perhaps won’t make the season highlights!
Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you again to everyone for your support.
A special thanks to the Captain’s team for their help in making the day run so smoothly.
And a big thank you to Cal and Jayne Ferlisi for sponsoring the Frank Abbiss trophy which we hope to locate soon!
