CAPTAINS REPORT
Presidents Day at Dunstable Downs did not disappoint. The weather threw a curve ball early on but we coped with five minutes of rain and the gentle downs breeze added some challenges for the back nine.
My thanks to George for his sponsorship and continued guidance and support to the society.
I’ve asked Gary to convey our thanks to the club for looking after us so well.
We were visiting for the 21st time and have played 864 rounds.
The venue featured in our first year - 36 holes, lunch and dinner cost £6.50 (!), jacket and tie were worn at both meals.
The competitions were again competitively contested, see below, and the Captains team ensured the day ran smoothly.
